BTE manages 13 estates spread over 3500 hectares of land, producing over 7 million kilos of teas per annum from handpicked tea leaves of over 50 million carefully nurtured tea bushes bordered by verdant forests. Certified by the Rainforest Alliance, Fair Trade Certification, SA 8000, Ethical Tea Partnership, HACCP, ISO 9001-2000 and BRC (British Resort Consortium) BTE is committed towards the sustainable management of natural resources and have planted over 140,000 trees to this effect and aim to plant 1,000,000 trees by the year 2018. BTC is one of the largest and preferred suppliers of tea and tea related products such as Herbal, Fruit and spice blends from Sri Lanka to many prestigious global supermarket chains and large scale food & beverage distributors.
